This Privacy Policy applies to Step Counter: Walking App (the “Application” or “Service”), developed and provided by Live Earth Globe & Tools Studio.

Refers to the Application, including all features, functionality, and related services provided through it.

Refers to external service providers, tools, SDKs, or platforms integrated into the Application to support functionalities such as analytics, crash reporting, advertising, monetization, and performance measurement.

2. Information We Collect & How We Use It

You are not required to create an account or sign up. However, to enable accurate health and fitness tracking, you may choose to provide:

Sensitive Personal Information: health-related details such as  activity data (use only to provide health features)

Device Information: Device ID, Advertising ID, crash logs, and usage statistics (collected by Firebase/Google Play Services for analytics and ads).

Location Data: Precise GPS location (for walking route tracking) and approximate location (for basic activity tracking).

Personal Information (Optional)
The Application may allow you to optionally provide personal profile details such as your name, gender, and profile picture to personalize your experience.

Providing this information is entirely voluntary and is not required to use any core features or functionality of the Application. If you choose not to provide these details, the performance and availability of the App’s primary features will remain unaffected.

We use this information only to:

  • Track steps, calories, and distance
  • Display statistics and charts in-app
  • Provide personalized/non-personalized ads
  • Improve app performance, stability, and user experience

Your privacy is important to us. We never sell, rent, or misuse your personal information, and we only use it as described in this Privacy Policy

3. Permissions We Request

To provide accurate step tracking and features, the app may request:

1.ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION – Detects and counts steps

2.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION – Tracks GPS walking routes (Precise location)

3.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION – Tracks approximate location

4.POST_NOTIFICATIONS – Sends progress updates, reminders, motivational alerts

5.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_HEALTH - Keeps health tracking active in the background

6.FOREGROUND_SERVICE – Ensures uninterrupted step tracking in background

7.Schedule_Exact_ALARM – Schedules daily step goal reminders

8.WAKE_LOCK – Prevents phone from sleeping during active tracking

9.VIBRATE – Provides vibration alerts

10.Advertising ID – Used for ads, respecting your device privacy settings

11.INTERNET – Enables internet connectivity for analytics, cloud services, and ad monetization 

12.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE – Checks network availability to optimize app performance, analytics, and ad loading


4. Right to Know About Data Sharing

You have the right to know if and how your data is shared. Currently, we share only non-personal technical data (such as crash reports, device type, and usage analytics) with trusted third-party services like Firebase and Google Play Services.

We use AppsFlyer, a third-party mobile measurement and analytics service, to help us understand how users discover, install, and interact with the Application.

AppsFlyer may collect and process certain device and usage-related information, which may include:

  • Device identifiers 
  • Advertising identifiers 
  • IP address 
  • Device model and operating system 
  • App version 
  • Install and uninstall events 
  • In-app activity and engagement events 
  • Campaign attribution and performance data 

This information is used to:

  • Measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns 
  • Understand user acquisition sources 
  • Analyze app performance and engagement 
  • Improve marketing optimization 
  • Prevent fraudulent or invalid installs 
  • Enhance overall Application performance and user experience 

AppsFlyer processes this information on our behalf as an analytics and attribution service provider, in accordance with its own privacy practices. For more information, users may review the AppsFlyer privacy policy. We only use AppsFlyer data for analytics, attribution, fraud prevention, and service improvement purposes, and not for selling your personal information

We also use Google Ad Mob for advertising and mediation services, which allow multiple trusted third-party ad networks to serve ads within the Application. The following ad networks are currently integrated via Ad Mob mediation:

  • Meta (Facebook) Audience Network 
  • Pangle 
  • Liftoff 
  • Mintegral 

Through these networks, certain device and usage-related information may be collected, including:

  • Advertising identifiers 
  • Device identifiers
  • IP address 
  • Approximate location 
  • Device model and operating system 
  • App version 
  • Ad impressions, Interactions, and Clicks 
  • Performance and attribution data 

This information is used for:

  • Delivering relevant advertisements
  • Measuring and improving ad performance 
  • Preventing ad fraud and invalid traffic
  • Optimizing monetization through mediation and bidding 

These third-party networks process data according to their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information to these partners, and user consent is obtained where legally required for personalized advertising.

We work only with reputable advertising partners and mediation networks to ensure your data is handled responsibly and your privacy is protected.

The Application may allow you to optionally provide personal information, such as your name and profile picture, to personalize your experience. Providing this information is entirely voluntary and is not required to use any core features of the Application.

  • Storage – Optional personal information is stored securely in Firebase solely for the purpose of providing personalized app functionality. 
  • Retention – Personal information stored in Firebase is automatically deleted after 90 days of Inactivity
  • Temporary Permissions – Data accessed through device permissions (e.g., location for walking routes, activity recognition) is processed locally in real time and is not stored once it is no longer needed. 
  • Analytics & Crash Logs – Technical and anonymized data collected by third-party services (such as Firebase or Google Play Services) is retained only for performance, reliability, and app improvement purposes, and then deleted or anonymized. 
  • No Long-Term Storage – Some Personal and sensitive information stored on your device is removed whenever you delete it through app settings. 
  • No Accounts Required – We do not require user accounts, passwords, or credentials, so no such data is retained. 
  • No Backup Logs – We do not keep backups of personal data or maintain detailed user activity logs. 
  • Data Protection – We do not sell, rent, or share your optional personal information with third parties, and it is handled in accordance with our privacy and security policies.

7. How to Opt-Out of Targeted Ads

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. However, if you prefer not to receive personalized or targeted advertisements, you can opt out using the following methods:

1. Device Settings – On your device, navigate to:

Settings > Privacy > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization

This will limit personalized ads across supported apps. 

2. In-App Options – Where available, you can select non-personalized ads directly within the Application settings. 

Opting out of personalized ads does not affect the functionality of the Application; you will still receive general, non-targeted advertisements.

We implement safeguards including:

  • Encrypted connections where applicable
  • No sharing of personal/sensitive data without consent
  • Regular updates to maintain security compliance

9. CCPA (California) Rights

If you are a resident of California, USA, you have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) regarding your personal information:

10. VCDPA (Virginia) Rights

If you are a resident of Virginia, USA, you have rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA) regarding your personal data, including how it is collected, processed, and used.

Our app is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If such data is found, we will delete it promptly.
